Our Vision:

LNBC Kids exists to serve both children and parents in building a strong foundation of faith and trust in King Jesus. For children who enter our care, we are relationship builders, Truth speakers, love & encouragement givers, and safe places to grow in Biblical training. For parents, we are a community of Christian collaborators and co-laborers, helping families connect to the Body of Christ at church and at home.

We believe kids who know the Bible can:

- Navigate a changing culture

- Build a strong foundation of faith

- Love Jesus for the rest of their lives

We are committed to Resilient Child Discipleship:

the process of a Christ-follower committing meaningful, intentional, and consistent time and space to a child or a group of children so that they may know who Jesus is and are known by a body of believers (Belong), to place their faith in Jesus and apply the Word of God (Believe) , and to reproduce their own discipleship (Become) so that a third spiritual generation can lead and love like Jesus Christ.

Belong // Believe // Become

Janelle Venters

Children's Minister

Janelle is the Children’s Minister at LNBC and joined our staff in 2009. Called to work with children in college, she studied Early Elementary Education at Eastern Kentucky University and completed the Advanced Certification in Children’s Ministry through Bethel Seminary in 2018.

Having served in ministry for almost 20 years, she is passionate about helping guide the spiritual formation of young minds to the eternal Truth that Jesus is Lord, and nurturing a desire in kids to know fully, grow deeply, and show generously, the love of Christ.

Janelle was married to her best friend and ministry partner, Houston, for 16 years, until he was called home to be with the Lord in 2015. They have two beautiful daughters, Bailey and Tori. And though her family calls North Carolina home, they will ALWAYS be Kentucky Wildcats!
